We have listened to your feedback and the result is a significantly improved Diningverse Toolbar.

Now, when you’re on a Diningverse restaurant website, it’s easier than ever to:

Recommend the restaurant
Add it one or more of your lists
Browse D’Scoop, restaurants, recommendation or patrons in the current dining area
Go back to where you started in Diningverse

Simple Sign-in arrives to Diningverse

We understand that it’s a pain to create a new username and password every time you want to use a service or website on the Internet. At Diningverse we’re really trying to make it as simple and painless as possible to recommend restaurants, create lists and personalize your experience. Until recently it was not possible without creating a Diningverse account with it’s own username and password (actually using an email account for the username).

Guess what, there’s no need to do that anymore. Diningverse patrons can sign-in and start their new Diningverse account using an existing account with Facebook, Google/Gmail, Yahoo, OpenID, Twitter or Windows Live ID.

Simple Sign In

Just choose one of the options to connect your Diningverse account and the rest is completely automatic. Anytime you return back to Diningverse just sign-in with the account you’ve connected.

You can check which account you have linked to your Diningverse profile while viewing your My Diningverse pages.

Profile Connected

That’s it. Enjoy not having to remember yet another account username and password and have fun recommending restaurants on Diningverse.

Diningverse Legacy Accounts

The patrons with existing Diningverse accounts can connect their existing profile to one of their other accounts with Facebook, Google/Gmail, Yahoo, OpenID, Twitter or Windows Live ID. We are planning to discontinue the legacy Diningverse account sign-in by the end of June so we encourage all Diningverse patrons to connect to one of their other accounts soon.

Follow these simple instructions to connect your existing Diningverse profile to one of your other accounts.

Social Media is here to stay

To most visitors, Diningverse may resemble a restaurant directory. It is partially true but Diningverse is much more. It is a social network for people that like good food and would rather frequent local, independent restaurants than nationwide restaurant chains.

Going deeper, at the same time, Diningverse is an excellent Social Media outlet for restaurants that want to maintain their online presence. It is hardly enough these days to establish a ‘static’ restaurant Website with a couple of pages that never change. Many restaurants are realizing it but they often decide to do it the hard way. They create a Facebook page, Twitter account, LinkedIn profile, etc. Then, they find themselves overwhelmed with trying make sense out of everything they started and have a hard time keeping up. Diningverse is going to solve this problem. We have an interesting functionality in the works that will let restaurant owners and managers broadcast their message through-out social media sphere simply by maintaining a Diningverse restaurant profile.

The following video illustrates the tremendous power and complexity of Social Media. It is pretty astonishing but in the end, it is just another step in the evolution of the Internet. Watch the video and imagine how a restaurant owner/manager in charge of a small, local restaurants could take advantage of something like this.

Setup your Diningverse patron profile

Your Diningverse profile let’s other Diningverse patrons know who you are and what you are all about. It also helps your friends to find you and add you to their Diningverse Buddies so that they can keep up with your recommendations and check out your Diningverse lists.

Setup your Diningverse patron profile

Your Diningverse patron profile consists of your Buddy icon, Real name and Details about you. You can also setup your Home Address which is then used for One Click directions covered in another post.
